2012 Tim Adams Clare Valley Riesling
Spiced apples, lashings of lime zest & grapefruit slices. Flint, slate & all the varietal descriptors of smooth river pebbles. Textbook mineral acidity and an ever so feint off-dry finish that respectfully tips its hat to the early promise of sugar in the glass.
As I'm drinking this wine my mind wanders to chilli glazed pork wontons & Pad See Ew. This Rizza has plenty of potential in the cellar too, but when it tastes this good right now, why wait. Love the new tamper evident screw cap too.
