2006 Yarraloch Cabernets
2006 Yarraloch Cabernets
Dark and luscious purple as it swirls around the glass. Powerful and concentrated black fruits. Smells aged beyond its years (Cork closure?). Immediate chalky tannins, but not lengthy or distracting.
Spices of mint & juniper. Cedar, tar and smoked meats. Dark chocolate with a soft, sweet, even a slight confection on the finish. IMO roughly at its peak right now.
Tasted 1st May 2013
14% Alc Vol
