2006 Boireann The Lurnea (Granite Belt, Qld)
2006 Boireann The Lurnea (Granite Belt, Qld)
Merlot 40% Cab Franc 30% Petit Verdot 30%.
Super dense and incredibly structured. Leather, earth, graphite and complex black fruit. Loads of sediment in the bottle. Tannins still holding tightly to the romance of a wine that is not yet willing to give itself wholeheartedly. Suggests that its still not fully in its optimal drinking window.
Day 2- Tannins thwarted. More plush red fruits and silky perfume. I think the merlot has woven its gentle velvety arms throughout the mix. Gives much more of itself tonight yet still promises to develop and deliver with time.
Tasted 5th & 6th June 2013
13.5% Alc Vol
