2010 Pizzini Sangiovese

2010 Pizzini Sangiovese
Cherry red in the glass. Savoury, meaty, smokey & sour cherries. Glorious red fruits. Cardamom & ground coriander seed. So darn aromatic, it blooms from the glass. There's a delicate brushstroke of sweetness too. Vanilla oak.
Food friendly to the core. In fact, I cannot think of a Pizzini wine that wasn't. This wine is super FUN to drink, but punches serious enough to be a real varietal contender.
Crunches & mingles in a georgeous match with the lamb tagine spices of Ras el Hanout, cumin, coriander & saffron served on honey and turmeric roast pumpkin with couscous.

Tasted 24th February 2013
13.1% Alc vol
